Have you thought of the word comfort today? Chances are you probably haven't, it really isn't a word that comes up often in casual conversation.... and yet.. all around you there has been this element of comfort... especially if you live in a bigger city as I do... where the average household income is...about 32,000... pretty low for some...and for others pretty high... and yet.. is income all that brings comfort... No! Comfort... according to our guest speaker tonight was something that is brought on by helping others... by knowing that you are reaching out to a community full of different needs. The speaker was a Christian man from India that has done some pretty incredible things.. such as build a school to teach women how to make a living by sewing, and another to teach children who otherwise would not be able to obtain an education. Whenever I think of how big this world is, and how small I am, I wonder if I can ever truly make an impact...How can I reach out? How can I help? We all know our time here is short... and yet.. we all want to leave a footprint...something that will reflect the life that we lived... well tonight, I was inspired to leave a footprint among those that have the most need... among the destitute and outcasts... my prayer tonight as I think about the world and its needs.. will be... make me a vessel of comfort and love.. that by giving I may receive... wherever I may be placed...may comfort abide there with me...
